Why The Cavendish School?
The Cavendish School was founded to give families of children with autism the opportunity to attend a local state provider where the young persons’ needs work be met in a therapeutic and specialised environment.
Our vision for the school is encapsulated around the phrase “Enabling the self”. We know and recognise that too many children and adults with autism struggle to achieve independence in their lives and often face significant challenges coming to terms with the condition as well as gaining greater acceptance and tolerance. Our ultimate ambition for The Cavendish School is for all young people to leave our care walking tall and proud, confident in the knowledge and understanding that there is a real opportunity for them in the world they will inhabit.
We will begin the Headteacher recruitment process in November, with a view to secure an exceptional Headteacher to start from Easter 2021; giving them time to work with Ryan Kelsall to recruit a team who will come in to support and shape the future of the school.
